Tier 1 General in UK going to US

Post by shaktiman » Wed Nov 13, 2013 2:00 pm

Hi Can anyone help me?

I am under Tier 1 General living with my wife, I am getting ILR in Sep 2014.
Me and my wife are planning to go to USA(as tourists) in Jan 2014.
I'm going to apply for a tourist visa, can you please tell me:

1. How likely it is to get a tourist visa for USA?
2. If they will reject my visa then will that put any impact on my ILR next year in August?

I thank you everyone for their support.

Hi,

Your question is extremely subjective.

1. No one can give you a guarantee on the likelihood of getting a tourist visa to America. It depends on your individual circumstance and the information you fill in the American tourist visa form.

2. Refer to point 1. If you meet all the conditions for a tourist visa and provide all the relevant documentation, why should you be rejected?

Agree with bionicredneck, although it is subjective,

1. Your tourist visa should be fairly straight forward to obtain, as long as you can prove your trip is purely as a tourist and you have a regular job and life to come back to the UK. Leave letter from employer, flight tickets with return, itinerary etc.

2. Even in the case your visa is rejected, (although I wonder for what reason that may be) should have no impact on your ILR.
