Hi Everybody
I want to develop this post so that everybody can gain from it. The aim is to display in deatail the points awarded to all HSMP candidates by Home Office, UK. For this I need active participation of all candidates. So I request all such candidates to come forward and share their points in detail, as awarded by HSMP team, with us.

Hi Aromated,
Not sure how this helps, but anyway...
I got 30 points for being a PhD, 25 points for graduate level work experience (3 years, is it? I had 5) and 10 points for the fact that my spouse has a degree (she has MsC, but they require just BsC). So I am quite glad I managed to sneak in while Home Office has the lower threshold of 65, which is set to go back to 75 soon. I also claimed points for special achievements, being 95% certain I won't get those. I figured out that would make the caseworker's life easier - he can reject something in my application (and feel like he doesn't need to pick on anything else), and I can still go through!

Hi Novice,
Its nice hearing from a first person about his qualification in this post. I am thankful to u. I submitted my case in july with PhD and 10 years of working experience. Claiming points for significant achievements and of spouse qualification (M.Sc). Waiting patiently for my turn.
After knowing about the qualification of successful candidates it gives a ray of hope to all those who r still in the queue.

Hi SBS
thanks for giving us information about u. I appeal to all memebers on this forum to share the points claimed by them. I t will keep our hopes alive apart from giving us a fair degree of reliability regarding the evaluation system adopted by HSMP.

Hi...
I have claimed 80 points in total.
5 for under 28.
25 for Masters or equivalent - Have B.Sc. (3 years) + PGBDM (2 years)
50 for Experience - Have 4 years senior level exp + 1 year at graduate level
But I have doubt if they will consider my Post Graduate Dipolma in Business Management (PGBDM) for 25 points...
I have applied in mid of May so expecting reply by next month...hopefully.
Can anybody share their experience of getting 25 points for Post Graduate Diploma in any field?
Anis

Hi VP
Thanks for replying. But why u r seeing only 15 points for ur masters and secondly if u have submitted all the required documents showing ur marriage like marriage certificate, bills etc then u will definitely get 10 points for ur spouse qualification.
Be in touch.
Good Luck

Hello aromated!
I submitted my application on 28th of April(still waiting).
I claimed following points:
age(under 28): 5
education(M.sc. Computers Sciences): 25
experience(2 years graduate level):25
significant achievement(Gold Medal in Masters):15
spouse(Masters degree):10
my degree is from pakistan, which is equalent to Bsc in uk. So I think they will give only 15 points in education.
thanks

Hi there,
I can't see any point in collecting this data. It is useless because:
1)Successful candidates do not really know how many points they get, because Home Office sends a letter that indicates success but no breakdown of points. Break down of points is only provided within a refusal letter. There is no possibility of collecting exact data.
2)Knowing the distribution of points will not serve anyone as there is no golden points. Do you add up to 65? Then that's it! It does not matter from which section you get the points.
Sorry if I sound discouraging.

Hi Hcho
Well you are not discouraging but your point is valid.
If this data can not be used for any constructive purpose whats the use of collection....
What I think that the data of approved application with this bifurcation can be useful. I understand HO does not give any details with approval but definately the approval nod itself can throw some light on their evaluation process. So far we have data for those who have just applied but waiting for decision. So this can be useful later on say about 3 months down the line...or this can be more consolidated information if some successful candidates do share their applications with points claimed and docs submitted for the support of claims... I am just trying to put this topic in some useful direction, correct me if I am wrong...

After reading the posts I found one useful reason.
It gives us something to do and think about while waiting - ie just a way to keep us waiting without going crazy eventually.
To light a candle is to cast a shadow...

Hi hcho
I am happy for the critical point raised by u. In my first post I emphasised that this post will give us a fair degree of reliability about the evaluation process after sharing the views of successful candidates. So far now two successful candidates namely novice and goodluck have shared their points as claimed by them and awrded to them by HSMP. Remember, sharing clarifies many doubts and this board was developed with this intention as well. Such type of data gives u a broader analysis of the overall scenario and many other things...... So, kindly analuse this post more deeply.
Regards
