English language requirements

Hello guys you have been great help for lot of people like me and this forum has been doing a great job in helping people . I just have a little question about the English requirement for British citizenship. I have a Btech level 4 diploma in engineering which was done that here in UK . Can that be used for English language requirement purpose? Please if any one has any experience or know some thing about it ? I have tried searching on net but may be my skills are not as good .
