Congratulations.. EnjoyILR.dot.dot.dot wrote:Hi All,
First of all a huge thanks to all those who are providing guidance on various issues each one of us face. I have been a silent reader of this forum and gained a lot of knowledge for my case for ILR.
Today I applied for ILR with 346 days continuous holiday and got it approved at Croydon PEO without any issue.
I was on WP for 15 months and on Tier-1 visa for 52 month and currently working through my limited company for last 2 years.
My appointment was at 8:30 am and I was out of the PEO at 10:30 am. The case worker took around 90 minutes to decide on my case. I have provided a personal letter for the absence explaining the holidays in each 12 month period and stated that I do not have more than 180 days holiday in any of the qualifying 12 month period. In Section 7.11 I have stated that one of my absence is 346 days long but none of consecutive 12 months counting backwards from application date has more than 180 days holiday.
I have provided following documents for my case:
- SET(O) form (10/2013 version)
- Passport Original + Copy for all applicants
- English Language pass certificate from Trinity College (I am not trying to endorse anyone here)
- Life in UK pass certificate for both applicant (passed in March this year)
- Accountant Letter - Salary, Dividend, Invoice Summary, Client Contact Details - All stamped and signed by accountant
- Client contracts + Copy
- Letter from client confirming the amounts paid to my Limited Company.
- Last two years Annual Accounts of my limited company + Copy
- Cohab documents + Copy
- Personal and company bank statements for last one year + Copy
- My original Degree and mark sheets + Copy
- PBS Calculator printout
- Marriage Certificate + Copy
- Rent Agreement + Copy
- Personal Absence Letter
- Payment Sheet
I have provided copies of all the important documents and provided some additional supporting docs.
I have not provided P60 or employment history
I have not provided any cover letter
Happy to help anyone.
Thanks
Yes, it was GCSE Grade 5 test in Speaking and Listening and it has been accepted by UKBA. If you are taking NARIC compatibility certificate and NARIC English Language certificate then I would suggest you gotimtom wrote:Congrats! Can I ask if your Trinity College cert was for the GESE Grade 5 test by any chance?

Just one question, you have mentioned you have a continous absence of 346 days, is this within your qualifying 5 year period?
However in any given consecutive 12 month period you did not exceed 180 days?
So for eg., someone enters uk in Feb 2008, then the rule is they shudnt have crossed absence of 180 days from any of the following period?
Feb2008 to Jan2009
Feb2009 to Jan2010
Feb2010 to Jan2011
Feb2011 to Jan2012
Feb2012 to Jan2013
Whereas it is ok for them to be absent from Aug2008 to July2009?
Is my understanding correct? Please clarify.
Thanks,
