Moving Home today and my payment is not taken yet

Post by rajan1984 » Tue Nov 19, 2013 12:17 pm

Hi Guys,

I am moving home and I sent my documents by post with self paid envelope.

One is that I will have to get the Ack letter from Home Office before I change my address online. Is there a possibility to do before then?

If I change the address online, will Home office also change my self paid envelope address before they send the original document back?

Please assist me how I should act with my situation?

1. Should I use redirection facility by Royal Mail for getting both Acknowledgement and Approval letter?

2. MY payment will be taken today or tomorrow or within this week as per our friend's mailing thread ( Home office received my application on 22nd of October 2013) . so should I have to keep my billing address the same until the payment go through on my card?

3. Or Can I inform home office now about all this and update in the system? If yes how can I contact them? Would they accept all this story?

Please do the needful in assisting me with your experiences

i'd let home office know ASAP, also set up mail redirection too...
your new council where ever you are moving will be doing your ceremony so it is important HO is updated with new address

better change address once payment has been taken however people can change addresses after making payments and bank must have some process in place to handle it..

Thanks for your valuable reply. I am keeping my bank details with old address in order to avoid any confusions for payments.

Can you please let me know how I can contact Home Office and update my change of address before payments taken? What should I have before in hand when speaking to them?

Please provide the contact details for contacting Home Office for Change of Address.
