student visa extension in uk after 9 yrs . I came to uk on 2004 October. I have got visa till October 2013. I am doing acca but haven't finished yet.Colleges and university do not want to take me in any courses. I want do do masters. If I can extend my visa for I year I can apply for ilr. I heave never been out of uk in these 9 yrs. please help. I am in great trouble I just need 1 yrs I have been in uk for so long and want to continue to stay here.

After spending 9-years in UK on student visa, you cannot extend your student visa anymore in any course. I think no college or university can issue you CAS.

It's a harsh reality but actually you have wasted your all precious 9-years, IF you don't have:

>Any assets back home...OR
>Some good valuable UK qualification.

As you cannot continue your stay as student, try to switch on some different visa category. It will be a hard task but there is no harm in trying. Living in UK on student visa for 9 years is not easy and it's all going to be wasted.

If you have obtained a master's degree previously, try for Phd or other exceptional courses to study

Ya no colleges n universities are accepting me. I have heard from somewhere that I am able to apply for ILR with the human right since I have not travelled out of UK. Does anybody have idea on that??

I don't think there is any human rights left in UK for non-EU international students.

Anyhow, for this you need to get professional advice from good immigration lawyer. But it will take a lot of money and possibally wiped-off your all savings.

try http://www.bite.ac.uk/ they gave admission to few people I know in a same situ as you. but u will get a visa or not in another issue. They will give cas as long as you pay.

If you have spent 9 years only on student visa then without wasting time better to find sponsor employer for Tier 2 or join enterpreneur route. Moreover, if you have non-EU partner then you can switch to her dependant outside the country and return back in 6 months.

No its not true. Only 28 days before of completing 10 years.

even if u manage to get admission the other problem is whether u get the visa or not assuming you fall in 5 year degree cap as well?

If you are not eligible for further extension, HO/UKBA will not provide visa even if you manage to get admission.

I am in the same situation as you.
Please guide me, what to do if u have any idea by now.
I also request the other members as well.
I have spent 9 nine years on student visa( which expires on 29 of January 2014). I need one more year for ILR.
I have done under graduation and post graduation.
Any advise and guidance in this regard is welcomed.

Switch to anyother category Or Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur visas
if you have acheived any degree .

It is very hard to find a company. Either you must be very lucky or have excellent links. In my case I don't have any of the above.
