Official date of ILR granted

Hello

I just want to clarify what the official date in which my ILR was officially granted. I received the letter telling me that my ILR was approved on the 1st November (the letter is dated on that day). However, I received today my BRP saying that the place and date of issue is UK 18-11-2013 while the expiration date is 01-11-2013. All this indicates that the official date in which my ILR was granted is 01-11-2013. Am I correct?
