Which currency in showing total savings and salary?

Post by aneg07 » Tue Jun 19, 2007 9:46 am

Hi, i need an advice regarding the letter from my employer.
I'm asking for a tourist visa and my employer is writing a letter
stating my employment, duration, salary.
My question is: should he write only the amount of salary in Rupees, or should he write the same amount in GP pounds, too?
Same question i have for the letter from my bank stating the amount of my savings.

Thanks a lot

My own view is that it doesn't matter. You could also give the amount in both currencies provided that a sensible conversion factor is used. Do you need a letter at all, though?

Yes, i need to present this letters.
By the way, my employer doesn't want to loose time in writing this letter, so today he said he will simply write my annual salary in rupees.
I hope it won't be a problem... :?
