Dependant visa - wife of tier 4 student

Post by Jellybean105 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 12:27 am

Hi guys

I need some advice for a friend. Hes currently in the UK on a student tier 4 visa, for around 2 years. He wants to call his wife here so they applied for a dependant visa.

It came back rejected after 13 days. It was rejected on grounds of no devotion to marriage and therefore not satisfied that the wife would be living with him in the UK.

I told him that he should send proof of the relationship and that it is sustained with skype, whatsapp, calls, photos of them, of gifts/cards and when he visited home etc. Is there anything else you would suggest?

He wants to know whether its better to appeal and send in new docs or if he should submit a new application. Which one would be easier and quicker?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The appeal process can take long time & also you are not allowed to introduce new evidence in appeal. Re applying with all supporting documents is advised.

Actually, additional evidence is acceptable at appeals for non-PBS applications.
