Letters from bank

I'm planning to apply for an Entreprenuer visa. I live in the UAE and have two two banks here but neither bank will provide me a letter that specifies:

- they are regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE; and
- the money in my account is encashable and transferable to the UK.

All they are willing to provide is a letter that confirms my balance.

Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you get around it?

are those banks in the list of UKBA approved bank list?

try to open a new account into a bank which can satisfy ur requirment

When you say "UKBA approved bank list", do you mean banks that haven't been blacklisted in Appendix P, or is there an actual 'approved list'?

@ monkeymooface, both approved and un-approved banks are all in the list so you need to confirm which list your bank is on.

Some countries are missing on the list so you might need to do more research on the list if you can't find UAE on it.

Hello Sara,

I had got the letter according to the format from Bank of Baroda in UAE.
The manager was helpful and made it according to requirements.

Just check the list to confirm. You can also give your bank another visit. This time you meet someone that will help you. Yes, I pray you sort it out.
