OCI and moving out of the UK

I'm planning to apply for OCI next week. But I'm also planning to move to the US in February 2014. Taking the worst case scenario, if I don't get my OCI approval until February 2014, would it be possible to move the application to a consulate office in the US?

I think u can apply here and get it in usa

This is something I am going to have to do. Lets share whatever info we find.
Lifofifo have you surrendered your existing passport and gotten the surrender certificate? If yes please post the timelines and process.

I didnt find any link as well but if you go personally you should get it before january
