ILR Dependant - English language req. for non degree holders

Post by emuser » Sat Nov 30, 2013 1:21 am

Hi All,

Appreciate the services of Immigration board for all the immigrants.

Main Applicant -
Completed HSMP & Tier 1 combo for 5 yrs and currently hold's ILR Visa

Dependant (Spouse & Kid) -
Spouse came as Tier 1 Dependent to UK.
Baby was born in India and it coincides with main applicant's ILR visa submission. Now need advice from experts on ILR dependent visa submission from outside UK.

Question -
Dependent(wife) doesn't hold bachelor degree and completed intermediate in a non-english language.
From the following post and UKBA website found that she needs to write a English exam to meet english language requirement.
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... light=esol
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... -tests.pdf

The UKBA pdf document is a 35 page document that lists all the exams.
Can someone help in advising about the easiest of the exams, knowing dependent's very limited expertise in English?

Thanks

For entry clearance, she will need to demonstrate a basic command of English (speaking and listening) at level A1 of the CEFR.
