Self employed annual salary of £13 000 and due pension

Post by mimieangel » Sat Nov 30, 2013 10:03 pm

My husband is self employed and earns £13 000; however he is due a pension lumpsum of £35 000. Need to know if I will be able to apply for spouse visa under current rules using his pension lumpsum in the current financial year.

Thank you

if that is his savings in a bank account, then £35000 == £7600 salary (35000 - 16000)/2.5 so adding that to £13000 gives more than £18600 so it seems to qualify for a spouse only with no dependent visa.

he may have to have the £35000 savings in a bank account for 6 months though. Best to consult the rules.

thank you very much I was under the impression that a pension can be counted towards income not savings if you are self employed.
