I've applied for Naturalisation straight after receiving my ILR, as I'm married to BC! I was told that I do not need wait for 1 year after receiving my ILR because I'm married to BC; hence I need to prove that I've completed three years of continuous residence in the UK including time spent on student visa before married to BC!!! Does these kind of application, where an applicant is claiming time spent on other visa's take longer???? I didn't ask to apply desecration on my the naturalisation form, should I've asked for it????
Hi Rana,
Below is my timeline. My case is similar to yourself, as I applied for AN as soon I received my ILR. I don't think we have to ask for discretion as we fulfill naturalisation requirements. Like you, I have a feeling they are delaying such applications. Anyway there is no point trying to second guess the HO, it might only drive us more nuts. But hope we hear from HO sooner than later. Give them a call or fire an email, it could do no harm.
Cheers
