My friend has inquiry about difference in making an application from inside the uk or outside

what is best? or main differnce?

The main difference is the physical location of the applicant. it is very kind of you to ask these questions on behalf of your friend.

do you know of there is a difference in speed of processing?

there is reports on the internet of 1500% uk being backlog of applications and delays.

will it usually be quicker at home embassy? do you know?

Much faster outside the UK if the applicant presents the correct paperwork.

if the application is made inside can the person wait inside whilst waiting to be processes and waiting for answer?

sorry to asked again as it appears confusing but reading this:

36A. An applicant who is applying for leave to remain and has, or was last granted, entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain as:

(i) a Tier 4 Migrant,
(ii) a Student,
(iii) a Student Nurse,
(iv) a Student Re-sitting an Examination, or
(v) a Student Writing Up a Thesis,

will only be awarded points under the provisions in (b) in Table 4.

its seems the £200,000 GBP option is not availabe to the above?
