I have made an application on 10 years long route SET(LR).

Application sent: 05/11/2013
Application Received: 06/11/2013
payment taken out from bank account: 07/11/2013
Acknowledgement letter Received: 13/11/2013 ( Dated- 07/11/2013 )
Biometrics letter: waiting
Biometris Enrolment: waiting

Passports+docs Received: waiting
Biometric Card Received: waiting

Immigration history: came to UK June 2003
Documents sent: 3 passports, employment letters + others

Please add me on Sky Drive

Hi all.
Could anyone update Skydrive for me as I have just got my biometric enrolment done.

Biometrics letter: 13/12/2013 (dated 10/12/2012) Royal Mail 2nd class
Biometris Enrolment: 14/12/2013

Passports+docs Received: waiting
Biometric Card Received: waiting

On the side note, I had to drive 12 miles to the nearest Post Office due to strike action which means that the one close to my town was closed this morning.
Again, I would strongly advised anyone who has been waiting for biometrics letter for more than 4 weeks and who has proof that their payment has cleared to contact the HO as their application could be stuck unecessarily somewhere in the HO as was the case with mine.
Best of lack to all. I can now wait for as long as it takes (been waiting more than 11 years so few more months won't kill me... lol!)

1. How long does it take for the spouse to receive his/her FLR(M) after the main applicant has received SET(LR)? (when both applications are lodged at the same time)

2. Does the main applicant need to send confirmation to ukba after receiving ilr ( in order to complete the pending FLR(M))?

Some says you have to send passport/brp/approval letter, some says nothing to send as ukba would know automatically from the linked application.

Please share your experiences. Many thanks
.thanks a lot for sharing this its really helpful for us and give us hope .I am in exactly same situation .can you plz give me the homeoffice email id so I want to confirm it again for my reference.I got tier 1 dependent visa on 28 feb 2011.I call home office maybe 20 times and I got 200 different answers .now I want written proof so plz share homeoffice email id.
thanks alot
Dear Home Office,

Could you please help and advice me,

I (the Main applicant) have been granted ILR on the basis of ten years long residency and my dependent had a Tier 1 (PSW) status up till 31st July, 2014
My questions are,

1- Do I need to show (18,600) income threshold for her FLR (M) visa as she came very first time on student dependent in UK in March 2006?

2- After switching to FLR (M), can she apply for ILR immediately as she already had spent two years as a dependent? And will the years spent on PBS dependent (Student and PSW) granted entry clearance on prior to July 2012 rules count towards the qualifying period?

3- Could you please mention the immigration rules to substantiate your reply?

Thanking you in advance.
(Home office replied)
Dear Mr ---------

Thank you for your email dated 24 June 2013. Your enquiry has been forwarded to Home Office Public Enquiries because it is not a policy enquiry.

Please be advised that if your dependant was granted a Tier 1 (PSW) dependant visa prior to the 9th July 2012, she may apply for a spouse Leave to Remain under the rules in place for Partners who applied on or before 8 July 2012 and would not need to show the £18,600 financial requirement.
If your dependant has also completed two years in the Uk as a Tier 1(PSW) dependant, she can also apply for settlement after she gets her spouse under paragraph 284 (b) of the rules. Please be advised that time spent as student dependant is excluded.

For further information please visit the Home office website at:http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... spouse-cp/

Yours sincerely,
Edward Henry

HI
I HAVE SAME SITUATION AS WELL AS I HAVE TO APPLY FOR ILR ON 10 YEAR ROUTE AND MY WIFE IS MY STUDENT DEPENDENT FROM LAST 7 YEARS MY QUESTION IS THAT WHEN I WILL APPLY HER FLR M WITH MY APPLICATION AS SAME TIME THEN SHE WOULD NEED TO SHOW THE £18,600 financial requirement OR NOT.
AND SHALL I NEED TO SEND HER APPLICATION IN SAME ENVELOP WITH MY APPLICATION WITH COVERING LETTER AS BOTH ADDRESS ARE DIFFERENT

Post by Miangee » Sun Dec 15, 2013 12:27 am

Hi
Can any one share or explain that dependent of student came to uk before 9th july 2012 are also not need to fulfil the financial requirement of 18600 and have to show maintainance only when they apply and switch to flr m as they have mentioned on form itself which is as under

SECTION 7A - FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT
If you were granted leave to enter or remain as a partner following an application made before the 9th July 2012 you are not required to complete section 7A, Proceed to 7B MAINTENANCE. For more information on completing the financial requirement
section please see section 21 of the guidance notes.
All other applicants must meet the financial requirement for leave to remain in this category. The guidance notes are available on the Home Office website and must be read when completing this section. You and your sponsor should provide the relevant evidence, as specified, to demonstrate that together, as a couple, you have the financial resources you claim under this section.

anymore August applicants?

Post by jugal1986 » Sun Dec 15, 2013 6:49 pm

Seems like they have started Sept applicants already.

I am an August applicant waiting - mine is straight forward 6 Year student and 4 years Tier 2 General category.

Anymore August applicants waiting? Have you tried calling HO recently?

I'm guessing HO might be processing both August and September applicants.
8 years student + 2 years PSW
Documents sent: 2 passports, LIUK and a proof of address (professional
body renewal form).

NO lawyer or MP involved

I wish everyone waiting good luck especially the oct 2012 applicant from leeds
