Djafar007, which email did you use? Can you please share it here because I would like to ask them the same question?djafar007 wrote:application sent: 24/10/2013
recieved by UKBA: 25/10/2013
no response from them so far
i sent them email yesterday and this is the copy of their response
can confirm you application was received on 25/10/13.
You should receive an acknowledgment letter between 4-6 weeks after we received your application. During busy periods this may even take 7 weeks. If you have not received such a letter, please contact us for a duplicate acknowledgment letter.
I have checked our records and can confirm that no decision has yet been made on your application.
We aim to process 95% of applications within 6 months however there are a small percentage of applications that take longer than this to be resolved.
All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquiries, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out. Our service standards set out how quickly we aim to decide applications for British citizenship. The standard is that we will decide 95% of applications within six months.
When the decision is made, or if we require further information from you, we will contact you in writing.
i think this is te standard response from them
so we need to keep waiting again after 8 weeks
hope will have the good news soon
My approval was also received yesterday. Letter dated 7 December.Simtin wrote:I was starting think that an application through NCS or the solicitors was the best way to get a quick result. Seeing as you don't have to send all the documents (e.g. passport) with. But I guess not. It's just up to the universe!!!!Monika_33 wrote:It seems the Home Office deals with the applications at random.
Mine was submitted on 23 Sep through NCS and still no approval.
My ex-husband (we received the ILR together in 2006) sent his application himself just before 25 Oct got the approval letter today.

Yes, I already emailed them this morning and they replied. Thank youdjafar007 wrote:Hi Jenny177
this is the HO nationality help desk email address
NationalityHelpdesk@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk)
i think its the standard email response from them .
good luck
I think the problem is that we haven't really seen a major improvement for applications submitted after 23 October. In their standard email response, the HO states that during busy times it may take up to 7 weeks before they debit accounts so does that basically mean that all accounts should be debited before mid-January?jotter wrote:No action at all on November applications yet. From this forum we've had one fee deduction that we know of from an application received by the UKBA on October 29th, other than that it's all Oct 25th or earlier. Hopefully late next week or the week after we'll start to see fee deductions for November apps. On the positive side, though, the last 24 hours have seen real progress with approvals from October and that's good news for everyone.
Congrats on your progress. Noticed you applied 6 months after ILR, are you married to a British Citizen?prajit123 wrote:This forum has been very helpful in terms of timelines. Please see my details below:
