UK New born ILR

Dear all,

I recently got ILR with my wife and my child was born in UK almost one year back. I took Indian passport for my child as well, I need to take ILR for my child or I can stat way apply for British passport ?

some one told me that I have to register with UKBA first and than apply for British passport in post office.

please advise me what form will be use for UKBA registration?

Yes, register your child as a UK citizen using form MN1:

and then apply for his/her passport.

but there is one column in in this form
what is the date of ILR for child on first page ?
he does not have any ilr

qualify for permanent residence.

The question says if. If he doesn't have one just leave blank.
