Tier 2 Unrestricted or restricted for PSW

My company is applying for my COS, but we are a bit confused whether to go for Restricted or Unrestricted COS ? Is it the job that matters or is the current VISA status which is PSW in my case ?
Another question is, what is the maximum time the visa can be granted through Unrestricted COS, 3 years I think ?

If your employer is a T2 licensed sponsor they should know that they should assign an unrestricted CoS to you

Another question is, what is the maximum time the visa can be granted through Unrestricted COS, 3 years I think ?
3 years or the period of engagement whichever is shorter

Hi,

My employer got the user name and password and he requested for unrestricted visa and got an automated reply. can i please know how long will it take to assign unrestricted visa from UKBA ?
