Guys - Did anyone got Citizenship Approvals so far...

Hi

Quick question. Does anyone know if approvals for people who live in Northern Ireland (with an Irish spouse) are quicker than those for an ROI applicant? I've heard that this might be the case because Police Service NI criminal record checks are faster than Garda checks...

Any thoughts?

That might be true. There was this user "afrocommonwealth" who applied and got his approval in 3-4 weeks due to faster NI criminal record checks. If you search his user name in one of the threads, you'll see it. You can contact him as well.

Nothing ...I called them 1 week to christmas & I was told it was in the final stage...(told same, 1 month ago)..So probably good news will come in the new year. I applied in feb 2013. I got a letter asking for further info in sept. I havent got my approval since then. What of ursef?

I applied in nov 12....I did recived a letter on 4 of nov this year that my case is in final stage...I called to DOJ mid of this month I was told after when she confirmed my address and everything that everything is done only waiting for Minister to sign,and she says hopefully end of this month u will reccieve a reply from us.......I only saw last night in one of the thread this guy wrote that he got approval letter on the 12th of dec....

Exactly as mine, they confirmed my address and said final stage, So the next time i hear from them, it will hopefully be an approval. A few people got their approval in dec. but not me. So lets say mid janu. I will update u ...

Coz i was lookimg thé Doj site ..thé last cermony in 2012 was in october 15..n than thé next after was in march 2013....this year last ceremony was on 21 october.......?

Few months ago i have got a letter from the LSR team requesting me few documents. I am not sure what LSR stands for but surely they have divided people into different groups, so not to worry about that and send them what ever they have asked.

Same here This month I am 24 month from the time I applied and from more than a month I am in the final stage and no documentation requested during this time! the lady keep saying that it will be submited to the Minster soon!

I spoke to Immigration yesterday to confirm they received my GNIB card and fee I sent last month. They told me it was received but the January 20th session was full and I'm on the waiting list for the next one.
