Salaam every one, I'm new to this website, can someone please tell me how long spouse applications are taking at the moment? I submitted my case from mirpur

Application date: 19/09/2013 and all it states is the following:

Status: Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on 09/19/2013

I have emailed them and they just send the standard reply that it's under process, Shall I get in contact with my solicitor in the uk? Please can some one shed some light on this as to what the OC means, many thanks

Salam everyone.. I'm new to this forum

Here's my timeline

Submitted 24-06-2013
Received letter on 27-09-2013 to let us know it's on hold and to submit additional documents
Submitted documents 23-10-2013
Not heard anything since :-(

Have emailed the visa enquiries and all I get is
Thank you for your e-mail of 14 December 2013.
Your application is being processed with ongoing routine enquiries and results are yet to be received.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum as precise timeframe cannot be given.

Don't really know if that means it's on hold or I still have a chance :-(

Hi cosworth

Well they are suppose to take 6 months max, 24 weeks but mine has been 25 weeks excluding holidays and reading this forum, some people have waited longer :-(

Sis sameena your case is similar to mine except that they asked for one pay slip. I found it so annoying the fact that after 6 months of wait they could of asked for it before! Well I haven't emailed them anything as of yet...however I think I should write to them in few days.

6 and half months! Thats terrible indeed but one thing at least they didnt refuse straight away..usually these days they take 3 months to reply to grant you your visa..otherwise your on hold or just refused...I wish they could have the courtesy to at least provide a time frame

Hi, was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

My solicitor took a look at my 6 months of bank statements and he is advising me not to apply for my wife's visa yet.

My wage slips are fine and the money is coming in showing I earn £18600 however, my bank statement shows that I was in overdraft in October and November. I had a balance of +£2600 at the end of December but then paid for the visa application and flight to Pakistan so it is now £1300. My appointment is booked for 20th January. By that time my balance will be £3000.

Is it likely I will be rejected because of being in overdraft during the 6 month period? My expenditure is high but I do meet the £18600 threshold.
Applied in Islamabad: 03/07/12
Refused: 14/11/12
Appealed: 26/11/12
Court Date: 02/09/2013
Appeal Unsuccessful.
Re-applied in Islamabad: 20/01/2014
Refused: 15/09/14
Court Date: 09/05/2015
Appeal allowed.
Awaiting call letter.

Hello,

A few people have said to me that despite the fact that I haven't heard anything from the BHC - even after 24 weeks - it's not the worse sign in the world as usually if they were to refuse my wife's visa application they would do so usually within about 3 months or so. From other people's experience, is this really the case?

Would the BHC wait this length of time if they were just going to refuse it? I'm not sure what to think as the case hasn't even been put on hold either and the bank at which i'm employed were contacted regarding my employment all the way back in October which they confirmed.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Application submitted: LHE 19/07/2013
Status: Under process at BHC since 01/08/2013
RFC: Waiting...

Salam all... Hope everyone's feeling good inshAllah

Just thought I'd share with you that when I emailed the visa enquiries early December about my visa I got the following reply

I can confirm that we received some documents that you sent us. The documents will be reviewed by an officer on its turn.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

I had given the additional documents in October and I'm hoping that this means that they have not been through my case yet and I've still got hope and I'm not on hold as yet.
I got this reply on the 3rd of December
