Can I postpone my plan to enter London?

Post by Globe Trotter » Thu Jan 09, 2014 11:24 am

Hi,
Thanks for the all the help that I got from the forum members. Need some more information as I am confused.
My passport got stamped with Entrepreneur visa on 17th October 2013 which is a valid till 16th February 2017.
I plan to enter London by first week of March 2014.
Will this late entry create problem when I extend my visa after three years?
Is there any link that guides us with that?

Thanks in advance.

I won't risk it. It may cause you more money but making a quick trip to London just to activate your visa and making your official move in March in 2014 would be a better choice...

Thanks for the quick revert.
Can you please elaborate as to what do you mean by "Activate my Visa".
Are there any norms or guidelines for that?

Now that you have the T1E stamp in your passport. I think there is a window of time that you have enter the UK with the visa otherwise it may be voided or the passport control is going to grill you. You should check what that window is --- I am not quite sure. I have a feeling March is fine but better be safe than sorry.

you would have planned your business and provided the details of it(as to when to start) as your supporting document within your visa application is how you should plan and put it.

there may have been unforeseen circumstances causing the delays are seen and understood logically(the genuine reasons), you would come early if you could come early. there are going to be 4 months in middle considerably a long time but still if there has been a logic and causes compelled you staying out should be considered reasonable on arrival.
it is something that can not be answered because one at the entry(passport check) thinks different than other.
thanks,
