Thank God for his deliverance. Thank God for this forum which has helped me immensely. I was so worried that I was not going to receive my approval due to the fact that 1) i sent in the old forms the one before the new one came out in September, 2) one of my referees was just 25 and i thought that question meant from age 26 and over. You know it just goes to show you just need to have faith and believe your going to receive it.

For all the previous post about requesting your documents delays your application, i requested my application on the 11/12/13 because I needed it for work and i was told by the home office people applying for British citizenship wont be affected, the only people who get affected are people who have definite leave only. Also she says before the send your requested documents back to you they photocopy everything from back to front before sending it back to you, so don't worry. If anything if i never requested my documents i would never have received my approval here today not yet anyway. So sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do to speed people up.

Thank you very much people and all the people who applied before me, same time as me and in October don't worry yours is on its way signed, sealed and delivered. Any brown letter that comes to your door with royal mail on it that should be it. I will check back to post my ceremony date when i get a letter from the council. Thanks

Thank you apple02.

I am honestly thinking of booking a private ceremony. I may have to call the council or should i wait for them to contact me first. I know the letter said so but does it have to be that way?

can anyone kindly advice?

Wait for them to send the letter first but according to my council it says you must call them if you want to arrange a private ceremony. But you could always wait if your not in a hurry and save 77 pounds fee :)

Congrats MwanaKay. My observation is HO have gotten to approving applications received on the 21/10-22/10/2013. On this forum, there have been four approvals in a space of 4 days. All are applications received on 21/22-10-2013

Yes i can not wait, either. As soon as the swearing/oath ceremony is out of the way, I'll be going for the red passport like a thirsty deer panting after water. lol

Yes it seems the HO are approving the 21-22 October. I must be the only one who's application being received on the 24th October to be approved so far. I also have a friend who's was received on the 23rd of October and his one was approved on the 16th December 2013. Hopefully people before us will get there approvals this week as well as people still in our list and after that. I also do know not everyone case is the same. It seems people who's application are made of a spouse, one person who applied end of October got approved in December. That must be a record.

So fingers crossed everyone, God bless you all and have either hope or faith. When I receive my ceremony letter I will post the date. Good luck everyone. X
