Legal Representative Letter

Post by Laila007 » Sun Dec 08, 2013 2:05 am

Has anyone had ant issues with this?

My dad is my sponsor and instead of a separate letter, he got a stamp/signature from a commissioner of oaths ... but no separate letter from a legal rep!

I have a hearing this week....if anyone has any advice on how to argue this - I would appreciate it!

Thanks

Hi,

Yes legal letter isn't a legal letter, if it is not signed, attested, by solicitor.
When you visit your Solicitor he will draft it for you since they know how it's done, but just to give you a rough sketch this letter contains the full details of the applicant or applicants (in case of team application), these details include
1. Full Name/names
2. Date of birth and place of birth (country)
3. Passport number
4. Proof of of identifications (in case of driving Lisence, will need Lisence numbers as well as start & expiry dates)
5. Signatures (in the presence of solicitor)
6. Letter must be on official letter head of a solicitor or commissioner of Oath
7. Solicitor's Name, Signature, SRA number and address
8. Confirmation statement from solicitor that he confirmed the ID's of applicants and applicant or the applicants have signed this letter in front of him or in his presence.

Regards

Hi all,

We are applying using 3rd party funds, which is not in our account, but still in 3rd party's (we assume we don't need to have the money in our account). I have some idea of legal rep's letter but don't know how 3rd party's declaration is worded. Can someone share it please? Many thanks.

Hi all,

Can I confirm my understanding from reading various posts:

To rely on 3rd party funding, both the 3rd party and the applicants have to go to a solicitor, who would attest the declaration saying that the 3rd party makes 200k available to the applicants (with name and ID details) to run the business. So the banks holding the money doesn't have to do anything with the declaration except providing bank statements.

What happens if the applicant is overseas and the 3rd party is in UK? Can legal rep letter be done?

Can someone share the templates with me please?

Many thanks.
