Dear Intellects,
I would be greatful if someone could shed some light on my queries below. I am due to apply for ILR, having spent 1 year in tier-2 General (issued 26 Jan 2009) and 4 years in Tier 1 General(issued 10 March 2010). I have moved my job on two occassions over past 4 years. I have my wife applying with me on dependant category. She is currently on tier-1 general migrant dependant visa issued on 20 December 2010. So my queries are;
1) What sort of proof should I provide as part of tier-2 application. I would have thought a valid stamped visa must be suffecient but would you think I would require any further documents? I currently have Jan 2009 dated proof of employment from my then employer. I have requested a letter from my previous employer on the proof of absence from the country whilst employed with them. I also have P60's to cover my last 5 years employment.
2) I presume we will be filling Set(O) application. In the form under section 5 there is list of questions( SOC codes, current rate of oay, number of hours etc..) to be answered if I am applying as a tier-2 applicant. I know that I am currently in tier 1 and will be applying under the same but the clarification I require is, should I consider filling this section since 1 year of my 5 years consequtive period was under Tier 2 general?
3) My wife does not have degree from a UK university. So in order to satisfy the requirements under knowledge of language and life in the UK she was adviced to get a letter from NARIC which states that her degree taught in India is equivalent to level C1 and Life in the UK certificate( which she passed). Would that be suffecient?
4) I am intending to submit the following documentation -
(i) Bank statements for the period 30/12/2012 to 30/12/2013
(ii) Confirmatory letter from my current and previous employers
(iii) 12 months payslips
(iv) 5 years P60 forms
(v) Tenancy agreement for current rented property
(vi) Original MSc. degree certificate, Naric certificate
(vii) Life in the UK test certificates
(viii) Document outlining absences from the UK in detail, headed “Evidence of UK absences”
Many thanks in advance.
