I missed a special delivery today. I am so much worried what it can be. Does anyone know if UKBA deliver your documents first or their decision first? I am waiting for one and half months now and have to wait for one more day!

I applied 2 days before your submission, our dates are almost same for receiving updates and additional documents, I was very hopeful for today that letter will arrive, but not yet.

psw (50 K) route

applied: 5th december
biometric letter got: 13th dec (submitted 16th december)
additional info asked: 24th dec
info sent: 27th
Again additional info asked: 3rd jan
I Mentioned i already have sent it.

Approval letter received: 15 jan (issued on 8th Jan)

Now waiting to get BRP which i hope will be during this week.
If i can be of any help to anyone please feel free to ask me questions though i was least capable of doing it on my own.

That's it for now... so far the timeline is making sense. It looked like things were getting processed quite timely. Does anyone have any idea about any changes to the backlog situation reported back in Sept? Hope it's improved. there are other posts in the forums with T1E approved within 20 days.

I got visa without interview. I have seen many on this forum who also got visas without interviews.
The interview should be held after biometric.

I have a quick question:

The UKBA requires that the third party bank states that the money is disposable to the applicant to freely dispose in UK. However banks are not supposed to authorise this statement. I don't get the point. If the affidavit is provided why do they need this statement from the bank? Do banks provide anything like that?

Hopefully the time line is good !!!
i m not sure about the back log in Sept.
This is my second application as the first one was refuse and then appeals were refused too.
It took 7 months earlier and 4 months for the appeals and things.
Hopefully I dont have to wait that long this time.
I have seen some applications on other post too where it was processed within a month.
Hopefully we get positive and prompt applications.

sorry about the late reply.

it was a very relaxed environment to start with. i had one interviewer, and another chap who apparently was there to monitor the interviewer not me (and he didnt say a word to me other than smile politely )so i didn't pay any attention to him.

the lady interviewer started off with my immigration history, qualifications and studies, how it ties off with the business, why i want to do it, what's my contingency plan if it fails, will i settle here in the long run, because my office is at home will it effect professionalism, service costs and how much profit it may generate, if I'm working anywhere else, where did the funds come from, why didnt i get a patner for the business, advertisements, what sort of services i provide, if i know my client, have i been to their establishment, and to explain one chart from my budget planner.

that's all about it really, but she was very kind and nice and there really was no scare factor involved. or i didnt feel any. it was like having a nice chat with some stranger who's mildly interested in knowing what work you do. now i don't know if that's good or bad.

i'm still waiting for my results so cant update that bit. please keep me in your prayer, and hope this helps somewhat.

p.s - it lasted about 40ish mins i think, i didnt keep track but it didn't seem to be a long, winding scary interview.

200k, solo application, provided all the required documents on the same format as in guidelines, did not send any business plan tho, only sent business documents of dad's business back home
