"Residency period" need clarification

Post by suwi » Sat Jan 25, 2014 4:44 pm

Hi
I am bit confused about what exactly is the residency period.
I need to be certain about 5 year Residency period. The following is my visa history if some one could shed some light please.
Jan 2013- todate ILR (settlement)
Aug 12-jan13- waiting for visa
Aug 10-aug12, 2 yrs unmarried partner of BC
Feb 10-aug 10- waiting for the visa
Feb 08- feb10- student visa (extended yearly)
Do I qualify for 5 year residency status under standard category.what do you think?
Thanks
Suwi

Not yet. Under the standard requirements, you should have held ILR for at least one year.
