Generally requires the standard documents I think. Last time I did the online application and it generated a 'cover letter' which listed all the documents that was required. I think it comprised the offer letter, passport and existing BRP card. If your CoS includes the maintenance covered then you do not need bank statements. If you have already received Tier 2 (general) before then you also do not need to provide English proficiency documents.

Just to let you all know that i have got Tier 2 general Extension.

Documents required for this application are as follows:-
1, Passport
2, photos
3, Employer Cos certificate
4, Maintenance form employer if you are not showing bank statements
5, Optional Payslips.

Do my company need to get new CoS? or I can apply with same CoS ?

This was really helpful. Summarizing my steps as below.

1. So my CoS expires in Feb2015, and I can ask my sponsorer to create new CoS with SAME job code in December 2014

2. As their licence expires in Dec2015 , they can renew it (they dont need to pass labour test again) , and this wont affect my extended tier2 .

3. For new Cos, I can get for next 3 years again.

4. After 5 years, as 2016 , UKBA changing rules of PR,it has to be salary of 35000 (accoring to current info)

5. As my surname changed last month, I just need to send a letter to UKBA with change of circumtances.

I think the employer can't give you a maintenance letter if you are filing a Tier2 Extension under the same employer since its for the support for the 1st month of employment Only.

Its a bit confusing on the website. Please correct me if I am wrong.

you do not need to show maintenance if you are already on tier 2 and extending it.

One more question I had. Do we have to actually send the Old Passport with the extension application? It is now expired and has my old student visa from 2008 on it.

Did you submit your old passport? I have also applied for visa but I forgot to submit my old passport. Will it be a problem?

For T2G extensions, yes, old passports are required.

Hi guys

Just a quick question and hoping someone can answer this for me?

I am currently on a tier 2 visa and changing employers. I got an appointment with UKBA tomorrow as i am going via premium service. I was wondering whether i have to show my bank statements again? I mean changing emplotemployers is classed as an extention, so i don't need them right?
