SET (O) Dependant Query

Post by kingfahad35 » Wed Jan 29, 2014 6:00 pm

Hi to All Resptected Users ,
I'm applying ILR on the basis of Tier 1 using SET(O) form.

I have passed Life in the UK & fulfil English requirement.
My wife who is my dependant Passed Life in the UK but she has not passed ESOL B1 test so far.

My question is :
If I apply for SET(O) in person, what impact / effect will be on my ILR case ?
Will I get ILR and or HO will refuse to both ?

Your depandent won't affect your visa application as you are main application however your depandent won't get ilr unless she have passed b1 english requirement.

The main applicant should be fine.

ESOL B1 is really easy to clear. Don't waste money by going for ILR without English language proof.

The test is easy. Before you appear your exam you need to complete your topic form(choose one topic by you own choice and think 5 discusstion points regarding your topic)
The topic from can be download from their website.

In the first part of your exam they will ask you some questions base on the topic and 5 points. It is about 5 mins.

The second part they will pick two topics from the topic list to discuss with you. The list aslo can be downloaded from website. It last for 5 mins.

In total it last 10mins and it just like chat with friends. Very easy. I can remember mine topic in the first part i have wrote down on the topic form was camping.

Best of luck and i am sure you will pass it deadly easy.
