Long Residence - Gap in Visas

Post by m.asif » Wed Jan 29, 2014 10:57 pm

Hi

I am going to apply for ILR on the basis of long residence. My query is specifically for section D8 - 'Have you ever stayed in the UK beyond the end of your period of leave?'

I always applied before expiry of my visa however there is still few days gap in my visas. e.g.

Duration of Visa Gap
01/02/2004 - 31/10/2004
14/11/2005 - 31/07/2006 13 Days
18/08/2006 - 30/04/2008 17 Days
19/05/2008 - 31/12/2009 18 Days

I just want to know if there will be any issue because of this gap?

Regards

No gaps if you made in-time valid applications in the UK. Section 3C/3D applies.

if you applied before the visa expired, then it is fine.
the dates that the decisions were made to give you a new visa does not make any difference. and they are not considered as gaps.

Possibly. If an in-time valid application was submitted and a refusal decision is made after leave has expired.
