Hi Friends.

i hope u guys can help me.

i came into uk on 6h june 2003. then had 6 years on student 2 yeas on psw and 2 years on tier 1. my tier 1 was expiring on 17th may 2013. so i applied for ILR on 15th may which is 20 days ahead of my 10 years and i guess which is still under the HO rule.

my wife came to uk in 2007 and has been my dependant since. her dependant visa was also expiring on 17th may 2013. so i sent her FLR ( O) with my set ( LR) with a covering letter saying take any decision on her application once they have finished my application because she didnt have enough visa for me to wait for my ILR.

i still havnt heard anything back from HO.
my question is are they taking so long because there are two applications?

any suggestions freinds.

hello guys... this might be a useful information for people awaiting decision.

the table of the PDF clearly suggests that HO are now working on September applications. good luck to all the pending applicants.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... 030217.pdf

feeling very sorry for the 10 people where the result is pending Since January 2013.

also i have requested the similar information under FOI for the application until January 2014, will let you know the outcome when i have it.

Thanks.

Hello all,

I finally received my ILR today.

Application sent: 16/09/2013
Acknowledgement: 25/09/2013
Biometric Invitation: 10/10/2013
Biometric done: 15/10/2013
Passport Received: 30/01/2014
BRP received: 31/01/2014

Straight 10 year student visa. All stamps present and life in the UK test certificate included.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I contacted my MP and will give as much detail as possible :)

1) I had a job offer since mid October and my employer was willing to wait.

2) My initial start date for employment was mid Jan and I really had to get my ILR. I was actually in a career limbo.

3) I e-mailed my MP on 16/01 and explained him the situation clearly. Initially he said that I am under the UKVI timescale and my situation cannot be classified as "urgent". But then I requested him to send a copy of my employment contract, and gave him the career limbo explanation. I just did not want to loose this job (which by the way would have been my second job offer, as some other employers refused to hire me due to lack of ILR - despite of being successful at the interview. Anyways).

4) The employer also sent a fax to UKVI along with a copy of employment contract as a proof. At the same time I sent UKVI letters on their Liverpool address, which is mentioned on your ILR application acknowledgement letter. So, they received correspondence from three different parties.

5) UKVI does have a fax number starting 0870 (I don't have it anymore), but good luck on getting through that clogged up line.

6) UKVI has 20day time frame to respond to the MP, which they did. My request was accepted on 28th Jan, ILR letter despatched on 29th, which was received on 30th, followed by BRP on 31st. I think it was the combination of correspondence from MP and employer that worked for me.

Hope this helps.

I sincerely wish everyone who is waiting a good luck. End is insight.

Hello Mustakim,
you should have used FLR(M) to apply for your wife with SET(LR) for yourself.

Congrats to all those who have received their ILR this past week.

I can tell you one thing, I've been pretty calm about the wait until now... I just got on with my work and didn't dwell on it all this while, but now its killing me

I applied Sept 19th and set my expectations to not receive my ILR until March 19th, as per the 6 month UKVI timescale. However I was also quietly hopeful that I might receive it by Jan 19th, as the UKVI seemed to be approving applications within 4 months.

Now that Jan 19th has come and gone.. I am a nervous wreck haha, the anticipation is killing me :D

To those of you who have received your documents back, how did it feel to finally get it?? must have been one of the happiest moments of your lives no? :D

Hi Friends.

i hope u guys can help me.

i came into uk on 24th April 2004. then had 8 years on student 2 years on PSW. My PSW visa expiring on 20th july 2014. Now i wanted to apply for ILR on 26th march 2014.

my wife came to uk in 2006 and has been my dependent since. her dependent visa along with 1 child born in uk also expiring on 20th july 2014.

my question is

1. Should i apply 10 years long category basis alone and wait for decision until wife and child visa expire on 20th july 2014 ?? or
2. Should i send their documents with FLR M form now or wait till 20th july 2014??
3. if decision not come until 20th july 2014 then what should i do??
4. any income required to show for wife and child??

any suggestions friends.

3. if decision not come until 20th july 2014 then what should i do?? Then send wife flr (m) don't include child as he is British by virtue of 1(3)
4. any income required to show for wife and child?? No your dependent came under old rules mean she is your dependent before July 2012 then no need to show any financial threshold

any suggestions friends.
