Is online fiance visa application form the same as VAF4A?

Post by WonderBread » Thu Jan 30, 2014 7:48 pm

Hi Guys,

Can somebody confirm for me if the online application for a fiance visa has the exact same fields as a VAF4A form?

I was planning to fill in a VAF4A and give it to my girlfriend to help when filling in the online application.

You can complete a handwritten VAF4A and hand it in,ONLY if the country does not allow ONLINE application. If they accept online , then you have to complete online.Theforms are exactly the same

Are the forms exactly the same though? I understood there are some minor differences.

My girlfriend is applying from Israel so will be required to use the online application, I just want to know how similar the fields on the online form are to those on the paper-based VAF4A

We did ours today and we had already practiced with the VAF 4a paper version. It is basically the same but with some additional information required eg the applicants job and salary details. It is well set out and quite easy to follow but does take time! If you are not physically together when completing the form, could you skyoe?

Hi Michali,

What did you select in the Sponsor Details section when it asks 'What is their relationship to you?'.

I'm on ILR in the UK and my wife is going to apply for a spousal/dependant visa from outside and needs to fill out the application form. The answer choices to above question does not list 'Husband', 'Partner' or 'Spouse'

The only promising answer to this question was 'Other Relative'

What did you select here?

I also posted it here, please have a look

Regards,
Oace

There is no other way than to choose 'other relative' and in the space for additional information, explain that the sponsor is your wife or husband. Everyone is concerned about this and the general consensus is that that is the way to go. Good luck!
