Home office sent letter

Hello Guys,

I phone home office for progress of my application today. They said they post me a letter on 31st July Friday. I don't know what they sent to me. I haven't received this letter yet. can anyone in this form tel me how home office return documents and Application Decision.? Would they sent documents and decision on sign for delivery which we can track and trace or they sent documents and decision by Norma first or second class post.
Please help me out I am so stress don't know what letter they had sent. They said it was only one letter regarding your application.
