ILR Success at PEO Croydon on 10th Feb 2014(Tier-1 General)

Post by ranjeet1979 » Tue Feb 11, 2014 8:35 pm

Dear members
I would like to pay my regards to group members for their selfless service. I had an appointment on 10th Feb 2014 for my ILR application at PEO Croydon. I was on Tier-1(General) visa for whole qualifying period and entered UK within 90 days of stamping of visa.

Last time when I had visited in 2012 to PEO Croyodon, experience was not good with infrastructure. This time experience was amazing. Whole office has been renovated(specially 3rd floor).

I had applied for ILR along with my spouse and a baby born in UK. I provided following set of documents :-

1) Set (O) form
2) Trinity GESE Grade 5 for myself and my spouse
3)Life In UK test result for both
4) 12 months salary slip
5) 12 months bank statements
6) Cohabitation doc (council tax,BT Bill, HSBC bank statement, marriage certificate)
7) Birth certificate of baby born in UK

Hi Ranjeet,

Can you please post your initial EC stamp date, date of entry to UK, first extension, current visa expiry etc. It will help others to prepare their case.

Hi
My first visa stamp date was 4 March 2009 and extended it on 1 march 2012 at PEO Croydon which was valid till 4th March 2014.

I entered UK on 10th May 2009, which was within 90 days of concessional period.

As far as Cohab docs are concerned, you need to show for last 2 years(since you got your extension). It should be from 3 different sources. I provided 7 joint letters for last 2 years which were on my name and my spouse name. Ideally there should be 1 joint letter for each 4 months.

If you don't have joint letters then you can produce 6 individual letters for last 2 years also.

Hi ranjeet,

pls can u reply for these 3 queries...........

pls can u confirm hav submitted the following docs with the application........

1)
1. 4 p60's
2. home office letters for tier1 extension approval (both)
3. marriage certificate
4. letter from employer confirming continous and permanent employment.
5. absence excel sheet (pls if u send me)
6. cover letter
7. any letter from employer confirming absences were paid.

and

2) In SECTION 11 - DOCUMENTS I think only dese two have to be ticked
Knowledge of language and life in the U
If you have to complete section 4 and you and/or a partner applying with you are aged 18-64, you
must provide one of the following for each of you:
1)A Life in the UK test pass notification letter; and
2)A relevant speaking and listening qualification, as described in the guidance on our website. http://
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... knowledge-
of-life/kol.pdf?view=Binary

I think 11(b),(c)......(l) doesn't apply to tier1(g)

3) in the set(o)form which one u have ticked pls confirm out of the listed below for absence

6.3 What evidence has been provided to support the reasons for all absences from the UK?
Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including
periods of paid annual leave from the UK?
Letter from applicant detailing reasons for absence due to compelling or compassionate reasons
Original official documents: (medical/birth/death certificate(s))
Letter from travel companies to evidence disruption to travel
Other

1) I submitted marriage certificate to establish cohabitation.

2) If you are applying on Tier-1(general) then just tick 11(L)

3) I didn't submit any proof for absence as my absence was less than 180 for any single year.

1) No other document

2) You just need to tick 11(l)

3) No need to tick any option in 6.3 if your absence < 180 days in any single year

hi,

Congratulations.
You mentioned that you also included your child in the application who was born in UK. Was it your child's first application or did the baby already had dependant visa ?
Is it essential to include the child as well? My baby was born after my tier 1 extension and my ILR is in May. I was thinking to apply ILR for myself and wife and then apply for childs naturalisation.
Thanks.

Hi charismatic_one
This was first application for my baby. I was interested to continue my nationality that is why I didn't registered my baby as British citizen. You can get your ILR and register your baby as British citizen.

This test comprises of two parts and total time is approximately 10 minutes to complete this test. In first part of the test, candidate needs to opt for a topic and write it on topic form and split it into 5 sections. For example , you can pick a topic "Flood management in UK" and split it into 5 parts

1) geographical overview of uk

2) govt initiative

3) society/individual involvement

4) insurance company role to settle the claim for flood victim

5) lesson learnt to tackle flood in future

Examiner will start discussing with candidate on any of the two sub-topic which has been splitted on the topic form.

In the next phase of test, examiner will discuss on any two topic out of the 5 topics mentioned on the Trinity college website for GESE Grade 5.

If candidate is able to communicate properly(don't bother for fluency) then it is easy to clear this test.

If yes was all your absences work related or personal as well?
