Well...it all depends on their mood perhaps. ...many a times there are a bit moody woody...
Monday when I rang in, mid day..was advised there is something out for delivery. ..
Same day when I rang to ask the status. ..another lady
Said..nothing has been concluded aka..still in progress. ...and
Today I rang in..they gave an update saying..its sent via second class post !

I carefully monitored the development on this forum so as to know when possible my application end date would be,i finally realized that all were accurate and up to date for those who are anxious like the Oct and Nov applicants.this forum made me calm and patient till this very moment because i would have thought there is a problem with the application as many of friends and family member got theirs withing a month.
Therefore,i see it as an obligation on my part to share my experience for like minds but i have a question below

*Here is my question: I have not yet received my approval from the HO but i was called by the council to book my ceremony which i have done,i was told to bring the letter from HO to the ceremony venue,but what if the letter from HO did not arrive before the 17th of Feb which is 3(postal days) from now?

Camden Council tell me they haven't received the certificate yet and to try again this afternoon or tomorrow.
Citizenship ceremonies are Wednesdays and I can't do any Wednesdays in the next month but there are plenty of private appointments available by the sounds of things. They can't book me in till they have my certificate.

I would like to give some further information about my application. I did not send any originals or did I use NCS, instead I only sent certified photocopies and made a self application. It only cost me 50£ to get it certified by a solicitor although others may charge a lot more. It did save me a lot of time though as I was not able to get any NCS appointments to my preference nor did I have to take any time off work. Having previously made various successful UKBA applications I trusted myself to get this one right too and indeed I have.

Thanks for this extra information about your application. I did pretty much the same thing and our timelines are quite similar. I was just wondering: I sent copies of my supporting documents (proof of English language proficiency etc) but they weren't certified copies. Did they have to be certified and could that slow down my application?

I don't know what is going on in home office, I called them 3 days ago and they said they send me a letter cupel of days ago and I should receive it soon, but i haven't send any thing.

Some notes
- I ticked Employee and Director for my Good Character requirements (I own my own Ltd company and I'm the only employee). Since I've been an employee till the current tax year I had plenty of previous NI contributions.
- Getting a private ceremony on a Saturday is possible in Camden
- NCS Camden was really helpful in the checking process and gave me good confidence. I would highly recommend using their services
- I had one traffic fine (went through a red light) and still got my citizenship
- This forum is awesome. I would have been really worrying without it

I called HO today and the lady confirmed that something was sent out on the 10th!!
So just waiting for the letter to arrive now.
