Student Visa Extension Gap?

Post by newhorizon2014 » Thu Feb 13, 2014 9:26 am

Hi

I have received my SAR report yesterday,

I have few points in that which I was not aware of,

My first EC(entry clearance) was expiring on 23-03-2005. I have applied on 10-03-2005 through college student batch scheme.

I thought college must have applied and sent my application before expiry of my visa date.

However on SAR report it says application launch/submitted on 24-03-2005.

Now I am bit concerned, would this be classed as 1 day gap or would this be classed as 0 day gap as visa was expiring on 23rd and application launch date is 24th which is next day of visa expiring date.

I will be very thankful if someone could share some experience on this please.

Are you planning on applying for ILR on Long Residence

You will be okay with this.

Read P.17 of Break in Lawful Residence (click)

Gap(s) in lawful residence
You may grant the application if an applicant:

- has short gaps in lawful residence through making previous applications out of time by
no more than 28 calendar das, and
- meets all the other requirements for lawful residence
