Hi All,

Let me summaries my application.I hope it will be helpful but I am happy to answer any more questions you may have.

Applied: 11/12/2012
Refused: 26/06/2013
Refusal Reason: They attempted to verify my bank statement back home using standard procedures but were unable to do so.
Appeal Heard: 18/12/2013
Appeal Decision: 21/01/2014 (Appeal allowed but judge asked HO to reconsider my application)
BRP Received: 13/02/2014

once my appeal allowed I was kept calling HO at least twice a day. People suggest not to call them but I disagree they need to understand its completely unfair to take this long for them to process the application. Each time I called I explain my situation one of the lady was really helpful. she said to me unfortunately she can't do anything to help except emailing my caseworker. she was kept saying I have got all the sympathies for you.

Later my solicitor received an email from my caseworker asking when I have plans to travel. My solicitor simply replied by 3rd of March but I received my BRP today.

I hope it will be helpful.

@ Alik28, I wish you a safe trip and don't forget to not spend more than average of 4-6wks holiday except you have a genuine reason to do that because they will assume that an entrepreneur should not leave his business dormant for a long time.

Also make sure you prepare for any question at entry point when returning as the immigration officers are known to now pick on teir1 entrepreneur visa holders for routine questioning.

Make sure you have your business activities in place, and also make sure the funds are still available as required by law.

And lastly be bold and firm in your answers if they question you and bring their attention to the fact that you have right to holiday and they normally questions people to observe reaction and body languages because some people are always nervous when questioned and this might raise more questioning.

Dear Alik28,

Just wondering after the HO offered reconsideration, did they ask you to post you current BRP or Passport or Police Reg Cert before they informing the outcome?

Thanks!! and congrats!!hope the docs are arriving soon for your travel plan
