by the way, yes @Yana31, if thats true you have to travel to Waterford, like all other people, like me, who would travel up to dublin from different locations

Anyone know how many city Hall in Waterford can hold? I'm guessing it's not as many as the Convention Centre in Dublin. I only sent my fee off late last week so if there were a lot of people who got approval in this round i may miss out on this ceremony

So, not sure, but if it is held in the theatre Royale that is part of city hall in Waterford, from what i can see it only has 430 seats.

In comparision The forum in the convention centre dublin holds over 3000 people and the Auditorium 2000 people. Unless they only sent out a very small number of approvals, there is going to be a LOT of dissapointed people.

Folks I contacted them today. This is not a big ceremony and only a small number of invites are being sent out! She did kind of hint at another big ceremony in Dublin not long after the Waterford one..Will just have to keep waiting...

@ bundle - I wasnt trying to be smart , there is no issue in having to drive over to Waterford, as a matter of fact I like Waterford.

I just wanted to be 100% sure about the location

I received invitation today for the 7th March ceremony in Waterford. my time is 2.15pm.

waterford is a small but a nice city to visit

Desk buddy, congrats....I wouldn't mind going to Waterford myself for the ceremony, my question is, do u live in Dublin? The invites may be for people living around that area...I submitted my 950 in January.

i live in Co.Waterford. may be you are right in saying that they are inviting people from waterford and near by.

It doesn't mention any number of invitees but i am sure wont be many as city hall has only capacity of under 500.

I think INIS will announce the ceremony date first, before posting out invitation letters. There is no announcement about citizenship ceremony in Waterford on INIS website. It's good to keep hope alive anyway.

I did paid in December 2013, and its confirmed this morning that i will not be invited to the Waterford Ceremony. but there will be one for march/April. date not set yet.

I don't think anyone from Dublin will be invited to this ceremony. I think we all have to wait till April

when you send the request documentation my documentation has been send 16/12 ,today i get letter fro department the 7 march ceremony is full described will invited for next ceremony in Dublin
