I can only speak for myself, my case is very straight forward.. all applications made in time (confirmed by SAR file), only out of the country for 150 days.

I think we are frustrated because our cases havent even be assigned to a case worker yet and its been almost 5 months.

britbanker wrote:So I called up the Home Office just now to ask the status of my application and they said it has NOT been allocated to a case worker yet :(.. So I am sad and depressed but I have done some analytics using our skydrive data on the September applicants...

Only 11 of us remain outstanding, 49/60 (81%) have been completed and October applications have started trickling in now.

1) The average processing time for September applications is 20.1 weeks

2) The average processing time for COMPLETED September applications is 19.8 weeks, however that includes one application that was completed in 9 weeks, if you take that out the average drops to 20.08 weeks.

3) The fastest processing time was 9 weeks as mentioned above for user "One day" (applied on 5th Sept and approved on 9th Nov.)

4) The longest processing time so far is 23 weeks for user "fahmeeda52" (applied 4th Sept and approved 13th Feb)

5) 43% (21/49) applications were processed within 20 weeks, 22% (11/49) within 19 weeks, 20% (10/49) within 21 weeks and 8% (4/49) within 22 weeks.

6) The average duration for the 11 outstanding applications is 21.18 weeks.

7) Of the outstanding applications "esmsi" has waited the longest at 23 weeks and "kunal.parikh" & "Jah_bless" the least..both at 20 weeks. Going by the trend above, "esmsi" should hopefully receive his any moment now and the rest of us should receive ours within 23 weeks as the UKBA haven't breached the 23 week mark yet (here's hoping!)

8. Of the outstanding applicants, 6 of us submitted our biometrics after 15th October and 5 before.. so I can't see a correlation there unfortunately, it looks like the biometric enrollment date theory may not apply to us..

Hope this helps people, I was absolutely fine with the wait until I breached my 4 month mark and started seeing people who applied after me receiving their approvals. I am now officially a nervous wreck lol and have to say that this has been one of the most frustrating and emotionally draining periods in my life.

Congratulations to all the successful applicants over the last few days and I give all my love, hope and prayers to the remaining 11 September applicants.. .

Dear senior members,
Thanks a lot to you all for your valuable advises. I've applied for ILR through SET LR in October 2013 & currently I'm on tier4 (Student).I haven't got any decision yet. while I'm expecting for any decision I want to get ready for my wife's application & she's here in UK since 2009 as a Dependant. She recently done MBA from a UK university & got the certificate this month.

1.My question is whether she still need to go for B1 english test or Do I need to send her MBA certificate to NARIC for UKBA recognition? What's the procedure to through NARIC VERIFICATION ? How much it's cost & how long it will take to get her certificate back from NARIC?

2.Does she still need to pass Life in the UK Test?

3.Do I need to show a maintenance fund of £18,600/ , Keep in mind Currently I'm on tier4 & only allowed to work 20hrs Per Week that's why I won't be able to show £18600/ income? Can we show income of £18,600/ together (me & my wife)? If I don't have to show £18,600 then Do I have to show enough funds in our bank account? How much it is?

I'm so sorry for these silly questions. to me it's very complicated & I badly need your suggestions.

Many thanks in advance

Do Gurus have any suggestion?

With my SET(LR) application, I used ETS test, that I passed in 2012, and now homeoffice has suspended all ETS tests. I've also sent them my IELTS test result that expired in 2006. Do you think I'll be ok? or should I do another test, in case?

Thanks guys!

Hello friends,

My Wait is finally over. This morning I have received approval letter with passport. Now waiting for BRP.
This forum has been really helpful and supportive.
I would like to mention here that I overstayed for more than 35days. I explained my reasons in covering letter but had no proof since it happened 9yrs ago. I am really happy that HO understood and granted me approval.

Don't loose hope friends. Specially who applied in September, good news will come soon. Tc.

Time line :
application sent : 18 -10-2013
acknowledgment letter: 21-10-2013
biometrics received: 01-11-2013
Bio done :04-11-2013
approval letter : -15-02-2014
BRP : Waiting.

Documents sent : Passports, LITUK , Covering letter explaining gap.

Dear All,

I have been a silent reader of this wonderful forum. My wife (who I met in the UK) and myself both applied for ILR since both complied with the 10 years long term visa route (each one of us made a separate SET (LR) application and paid application fee X 2). After we got married 5.5 years ago she has been under a dependent visa.

My 10 years route is as follow: Student + Tier 1 (Post study work permit) + Tier 2 points based system.

Our timeline was as follow:

Documents sent on the 03/10/13
Acknowledgement letter received on the 10/10/13 (dated 07/10/13)
Biometric invitation letter received on the 24/10/13
Biometric done on the 28/10/13
Both BRP cards received on the 14/02/14 (dated 12/02/14)
Passports and supporting documents sent were received on the same date 14/02/14!!!

I think this was a fast response considering that we were two applicants. So, our timeline was ~4.5 month!!! I was expecting it in the first week of March. It seems to me that the HomeOffice is speeding up the process. So, please don't despair yours will come soon, if you applied on a similar date.

Now, my child was born on the 17/01/14 (I have the appointment to register him on the 24/02/14). Do you think my child can be a British Citizenship straight away even though both of us got settlement after he was born or we need to make a special application for him? and if so, could you please send me the link?

Many thanks for all your help during this critical period of my life and thank to all of you who are still waiting!
