Ielts one band at 5, Overall at 6. Is this OK?

Hi all I am already in UK under HSMP and my HSMP extension is due in few months...

I attended IELTS exam few weeks before

Though I know english well, in the day I attended IELTS exam I am not well and I generally have slight stamerring problem hence couldnt score well in speaking.

My scores are as below

Listening 6.5
Writing 6
Reading 6.5
Speaking 5

Overall Score 6

In speaking I got 5, But overall score is 6, Is this OK? or need to score atleast 6 in all?

Hi Hari,
No this isn't the case. All case worker is bothered about is your overall band if it is above 6 you should be ok.

Yes, It is perfectly acceptable. It it your overal band will count, not individual

I have the same stuation, got 5 from speaking but overall is 6. Now i can sleep better . thanks for the replies.
