10 years ILR

Post by xrootx » Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:21 pm

Hi,
I will be eligible to apply for ILR on 10 years long residency. My question is can I go in person by booking an appointment at PEO or do I have to apply by post.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. One more question as I was going through forum I figure it out postal applications takes 6 months approx. Can a person travel abroad during this 6 months or during the time the application is with home office ?

Thanks

Unfortunately No, you cannot travel as your passport will be with HO.

The person cannot travel abroad during the time the application is considered by HO. It possible to use Nationality Checking Service for applying for BC. So you might want to use it in future. I am not sure if they do the same for ILR applications. Check with them. They take copies of all paperwork including passport and send it to HO, so the applicant keeps the originals and may travel while application is under consideration.

Nationality Checking Service is not available for Long Residence Applications.

The only checking service for ILR is the Settlement Checking Service for SET(M).

Please Please Advise
To The Expert, Guru and any one who can give me and advice.

Me and my Daughter came in UK on 16/July/2004 as Visitor Visa (Mean 6 Month Visa Tourist). My first Daughter is 10 Years old now who was born in Mauritius, she came after 3 Months, Second Daughter is 7 Years old Born in UK in Sep 2006. I lost One Daughter 2 Years ago (Still Born Baby). :(
We convert our Visitor visa as Student Dependant Visa on November 2004 till Now, as my husband is here since October 2003 as on student visa till June 2014.

My queries are I got 35-40 days Gap for making the 10Years application. Our visa is run out on 06/June/2014. (Me and my First Daughters came on 16 July 2004).

1. What is the best way to apply?
2. Which application we need to make?
3. Which Document need to provide?
Please answer my queries. I will appreciate your help.

God Bless
Best Regards
From
Bibi
