Tier 2 ICT from Nov 2010 - Any chance of ILR?

Post by gpranna » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:28 pm

Hi all,
I came into UK in Tier 2 ICT long term on 20th Nov 2010. I am told that I won't qualify for an ILR I even after completing 5 yrs by nov 2015. Is this true? Is there any way at all I can apply for ILR?.
Not sure if it helps though..I was also living in the UK for 2.5 years in 2004-06.

Can you please advice?. Many thanks.

Regards
Prabhu.

Unfortunately, true. Unless you had applied before 6th April 2010.

Hi, I sadly understand that ILR is not possible if I had got Tier 2 ICT from Nov 2010. But I can still apply for an extension even beyond 5 years stay right?..(although i dont qualify for an ILR or British passport).?.. Please clarify..!!
Some one said me that I can't stay after 5 years too..(as per new rules), but looking closely at the rules, I see the i can apply for an extn even after 5 yrs.. (See link below).. Can you please confirm if my understanding is right?...
