Tier 2 ICT (Established Staff Query)

I applied for Tier 2 VISA (from India) in Mach 2011. I received the Tier 2 (Established Staff) VISA on 12/04/2011
(Visa Valid from 12-Apr-2011 to 10-Apr-2014).


I have a few questions:
a) Do I fall under VISA rules prior to 06th April 2011 . My consultant mentioned that the date of application matters, not the date of receiving the VISA? Is this correct.

b) Am I eligible for ILR after I complete 10 years?

c) Can I switch to Tier 2 General after I get my VISA renewed in April - 2014. (Without leaving the country and cooling Off period).

d) Is there a limit on number of extentions I can get?

e) Is there a limit on the number of years I can stay in the UK.

f) My wife and daughter (dependants) got Tier 2 Long Term Staff dependant VISA . Does that affect any of the above questions.
