Hi mate
First, congrats on your ILR!
Second, I wonder if you can tell me what self-assessment summary is. You mentioned that you applied for ILR as an employed person. So I didn't quite get it why you submitted to the CW your self-assessment summary. Isn't it meant for self-employed individuals?
I'd like you to explain it a bit, as I'll be applying for ILR in May as an employed person and my case is similar to yours as well.
Cheers
Ali

Thanks mate!
The self-assessment summary I am referring to is the UKBA points calculator printout, nothing to do with tax

Hi Gringo.
Thanks for the clarification. It'd certainly help me with my ILR application form.
Cheers

Hi Gringo
just a quick query
being self employed I generated invoices - before the 12 month window- and got paid within the 12 month window, so the moneys I earned in 12 months include invoices generated before that period.
I see no problem in this , but a solicitor is apprehensive,
I am certainly not claiming for any invoice that I generated within the 12 months window but still am unpaid.
can i claim for the invoices paid within 12 month window but generated before that period?
thanks in advance!

Just to clarify, Are you saying the invoices are for work done the year before the requisite 12 month period?

Hi there,
I am applying for my ILR in May 2014 & my current Immigration status is Tier-1 General. i would like to ask few questions to the experts here at immigrationboards.
Documents i need to submit with my ILR Application if some body can confirm and approve it:-
1. Application Form
2. PBS Calculator result
3. Bank Statements showing 900£ for the period of 90 days & 12 months statements to confirm my salary credited into the account ( for main Applicant)
4.cover letter ( i think not compulsory, but good to have)
5.Passport
6. Biometric card
7.English Language Certificate ( degree taught in English in my case which i used for Tier-1 General Visa & Extension)
8.Payslips last 12 months
Do i also need to show all P60 for the last 5 years or only last year one is required ?
if i went for vacation to india during my stay in UK for any days do i also need to show letter from company that i was on vacation ? it is tough to get letters from previous companies & the stay was not more than a month or once it was 40 days .
please clarify ?
For my wife:-
she came to Uk on tier-1 dependent visa before july 2012 (precisely on 4th May 2012) & was in India for a period of 112 days continuously.
1. does she is eligible for ILR in may 2014 ? ( as she was in the country in may 2012 )
2. what are the documents i need to apply for her apart from mine & one listed below ?
a. Passport
b. Biometric
c. Life in UK
d. Degree taught in English
e.£600 in bank for the period of 90 days excluding 900£ for main applicant
For my baby born in UK in apr 2013:-
DO i need to apply for her ILR or shall i straight away apply for her passport ?
if passport what is the process of doing it & what form & all ?
Thanks in Advance.

When the money was paid is what matters, if that's falling within the 12 month earning period then it will be counted, doesn't matter when the work was done

Just include a self-letter for absences with the application, get an absence letter from your current employer if you can but provide only if asked

Thanks

If your child is born in UK better to apply through separate process using NM1 form, once you get your ILR.

*****URGENT ************
I have another question, my LIfe in UK test was in Feb2013 & with the new rules in place do i need to re write my Life in uK test again with the revise addition of LIU test.
Section 4 says:-
From 28 October 2013, to qualify for indefinite leave to remain, all applicants aged 18-64 must meet a
revised Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK requirement.
The separate guidance notes to this form provide details of where to find further information about this
requirement.
I am puzzled as i have written my exam in last Feb before the change in effect.
Thanks

Can you send me the link for this update... I guess this is related to introduction of English language requirement which was not part of KOLL before 28 Oct 2013, however once you forward me link, I can further advise about this. AFAIK under current rules there is no expiry date for Life in UK and Language test.
In the mean time some seniors can help us out.
