Where was your baby born? Was it before or after your ILR?

By your reference to an ECO, if your baby was born outside the UK, then lynxukauq was correct.

I have a similiar case (Child Settlement applied, parent is a settled British Citizen).
The ECO refused the visa stating that 'Adequate Financial Requirements' are NOT met, which I think is totally totally wrong.
I believe, under Rule 297, the parent doesn't have to fulfil any financial requirement, just 'accommodate adequately' needs to be proven.
** Can somebody confirm this ? **
I am thinking of 'Re-applying' : Since it has a strong potential the application to be fast-tracked or atleast they realise their mistake, should they see the same application again (I know...I live in hope!).
Appealing, though seems like a sure way to get a Visa, could take months and we are not willing to wait that long.
Advice appreciated.

297(v) also applies.

Thats correct. It does say 'maintained adequately', but no mention of £18,600 minimum limit. This figure seems to be for most other Settlement categories, but not for 'Child of Settled Person'. The ECO has clearly quoted this figure and declared that I fall short of that.
I just need to find what 'maintained adequately' means and prepare my re-application accordingly !
Any pointers ?
Thanks by the way.
