Section 10 - Passport Application

Post by TTOE » Wed Feb 26, 2014 5:51 pm

Passport Countersignatory

Just wondering if it is acceptable to fill in Section 10 and write behind the P/photo on behalf of your countersignatory due to bad hand writing and just get him or her to sign and date the form and the back of the photo only.

Just signature & date by the countersignatory is this acceptable?

Many thanks.

Hi,
It depends on your luck, I have a friend who did exactly what you wrote above. The passport office contacted the person who counter-sign to affirm whether he affixed his signature on the form, they even sent a from to him to sign his signature again, and another person who I know again, was lucky, he got his passport application approved with no hassles. Best of luck.

Thanks johnj1and TTOE.

I hope it all turns out well. I dint quite figure that the counter signatory needs to fill in those details. Lets see, will keep the forum updated.
