Vary an application from tier 1 to tier2

Hi guys
I applied for tier1 visa 18 months ago and still waiting for decision, can I vary my application to tier2(employer sponsor) and what is the CoS requinmts? Plz advise

you can vary your application before a decision is made on it but will need a CoS to do so.

Thanks,A company is sponsoring me and wil give me CoS, but I'm on Acknowledgement letter, it will ok?

Acknowledgemnt letter from HO when I applied for tier 1 visa 17 months ago... 2nd question my uk master degree is 17 months old still I applied for tier2 on it? I hear u can't apply after 1 year..
