Tier dependent Visa Funds Maintanenace

Hi,
Im on tier2 Visa from nov 2012.
Im planing to bring my wife in april.
Do i need to maintain 600GBP for three months?
Or Employer letter stating maintenance support for first month is sufficient?

employer letter is sufficient, you don't have to show funds
