PLz someone help...premium appointment without passport!

Hi I am in a real fix and this is my last chance at extending my current Tier 1 visa. My initial application to extend was rejected and I am currently awaiting appeal hearing in the Upper Tribunal. I am planning to withdraw this appeal and make a fresh application for extension. I have even booked a walk-in/premium appointment for this for the coming week. BUT the biggest problem at the moment is that Home Office won't return my passport! When I rung up their office they were nice about it saying that I can make a fresh application without the passport as they already have them...but the problem is I am not sure if Croydon PEO will allow me to enter on the appointment day and even if they do, will they process my application same day, considering I don't have passports (for me and my family!)...This of course means that during the time they are processing our applications, I have no right to remain!
I have written emails and even got my MP to request Home Office on my behalf. But no luck yet I am at wits end now and don't know how to get the passport back?!! Does anyone have any advice or experience of this sort? I would be grateful if someone can help plzz.

Do you know which PEO has your passport. I have seen some stories on this board where applicants has made a successful applications (same day) without passport but they knew which PEO has their passport and have attended the same PEO.

My understanding is that since my original application was processed at Sheffield they might have them perhaps? But my application is at Croydon PEO...can't travel with a busy a job and my little daughter. Is there any hope?

Well I think the Visa application is far way important than your job as your futures depends on it.You should arrange day off from your job and attend the Sheffield PEO . It is highly likely that your passports are there as your application was processed there.

Sheffield by train is not too far.I have traveled with my kids with out any problems.

If I am you I will definitely attend the Sheffield without any doubt.
