I GOT THE VISA!!!

Post by misskin » Thu Jan 30, 2014 12:16 pm

Hi everyone!

I got my documents and letter of approval today. I just want to thank people on this board, including wazobia, KickAss, and many many more.

Applications sent: 8th Jan 2014
Received: 9th Jan 2014
Biometrics letter received: 13 Jan, done same day
Letter of 8 week processing time received Tuesday 28th Jan. But I got another letter saying that it is going to take longer than 8 weeks to process my application?!? Well, clearly, that's not the case.
Approval letter, BRP & docs received: 30th Jan

Docs sent:
-57 page business plan
-2 contracts - 1 direct through employer and 1 through recruitment agency
-All web-based advertising: linkedin, consultants directory, suppliers directory, website, gumtree

-bank statements for maintenance funds and overseas bank letter
-CV, degree, and transcript
-business insurance
-business bank welcome letter; NO bank statements sent
-business advisory services
-profession: user experience consultant

I did everything by myself, with the help of this board. accountant looked over figures in business plan, but 50 pages was all what I did to make sure my business is viable and

Also, I organised it so well. I used many pos-its, pocket folder, sent application in 1 binder and the doucments all divided into sections (using dividers) in another with a full list of table of contents. I made is as easy as possible for the case worker to review the application package. Every single document was in a clear plastic pocket folder/insert. It was a good looking package :)

Congrats! you have shown some good points and things to learn. Albeit such an organised application is not always possible for some applicants when they submit through lawyers/legal representatives which is a pity. Although I am sure what you did always make a good impression since case workers are also human and may like to see more organised application!

@ Misskin , firstly many congratulations for your visa. You mentioned about two letter before receiving your visa. what does the second letter says ? does it says about delay cause of interview or verifications checks ?? as many of us received " necessary to interview letters .

@shk786, the letter said: "although we would normally decide your application within 8 weeks, unfortunately this is not goign to be possible in your case. A decision has been delayed as a result of further checks."

But clearly, this didn't happen and it was a mistake on the part of Home Office.

Hi guys, I am going to attend the interview coming Saturday. my husband gave me 25K into my personal account and my brother in law also transferred 10K into my account (that he had borrowed earlier from me), so I am wondering do I need to have a notarized declaration letter of that source of money, or, I simply can say, he gifted me and now its entirely I own and control.

Please suggest.Every little will help.
Thanks a lot.
